Construction dust is its own problem

A finished build looks done, then you run a finger along a windowsill and it comes back white. Drywall dust and sawdust are far finer than the dust a home makes on its own. They drift into vents, settle on the top edge of every door, coat the inside of new cabinets, and work into the grain of fresh trim. A normal clean is not built for that volume of fine particulate, which is why a remodel or new build gets its own service.

Here is what a post-construction clean covers.

  • Fine dust pulled from vents, returns, fan blades, and light fixtures
  • Top of cabinets, trim, doors, and ledges wiped down
  • Inside new cabinets, drawers, and closets cleaned before use
  • Window and appliance stickers removed, glass cleaned
  • Paint specks and adhesive wiped where they lift safely
  • Floors vacuumed and mopped, often more than once
Why one pass is never enoughThe thing nobody warns you about is that construction dust keeps falling. After the trades leave, fine particulate stays airborne for days and resettles on everything you just cleaned. During our post-construction cleans we plan for that, working top to bottom so gravity is on our side, and we set expectations that a freshly built home may need a light second pass once the air fully clears. A crew that promises one quick wipe does not understand the dust.

Castle Rock is building, and that means dust

New construction has been steady on the south and east sides of town, in Crystal Valley, Cobblestone Ranch, and the newer stretches of The Meadows, and remodels are everywhere as older homes get updated. Both produce the same fine coating. Add the dry Front Range air that keeps particulate suspended longer, and a Castle Rock build can look dusty again an hour after a quick sweep. That is the conditions our post-construction clean is built around.

New build or lived-in remodel?

If your project isThen book
A new build before you move inPost-construction clean, then a move-in clean if needed
A kitchen or bath remodel in a lived-in homePost-construction clean of the affected areas
A whole-home renovation you will keep maintainingPost-construction clean, then recurring
The bottom lineBudget the post-construction clean as the last line of the project, not an afterthought. A finished home full of drywall dust is not move-in ready, and the fine particulate is hard on new HVAC filters. One thorough clean, planned for a possible light second pass, hands you the home the build was supposed to deliver.

Pricing and booking

Because construction dust is heavier work than a standard clean, the cleanest way to price it is with a quick look at the scope. Start a request with a short description or a few photos, and we confirm a set price by text, the same way we did for the client who reviewed her post-construction clean. Post-construction questions

Straight answers

Why does construction dust need a special clean?

Drywall and sawdust are far finer than household dust and settle into every crack, vent, and ledge. They also keep falling for days as the air clears, which is why a single quick wipe does not hold. A post-construction clean works top to bottom and expects the dust to resettle once.

Do you clean after a remodel as well as a new build?

Yes. Both leave the same fine dust. A kitchen or bath remodel can coat an entire floor of a lived-in home, and a new build in Crystal Valley or Cobblestone Ranch arrives dusty even when it looks finished.

Before or after my furniture goes in?

Before, if the home is new. An empty home lets us reach the dust on top of cabinets, inside closets, and along trim. For a remodel in a lived-in home, we work around what is there.

Do you remove stickers and debris?

We remove window and appliance stickers, wipe paint overspray and adhesive where it lifts safely, and clear the fine debris trades leave behind. Heavy haul-away of construction materials is outside what we do, so ask first.

How is it priced?

By square footage, with the condition factored in. Send a short description or photos in a request and we confirm a set price by text.
